Good Morning All,
It has been awhile since our last update. Please know there has been work going on to accomplish our task of a Dothan event calendar on the internet.
One of the coolest items about using Google Calendars is that people can “subscribe” to this calendar and it will automatically sync all the events to their computer/phone.
As you may remember – we have been stalled for a couple months in search of a pro-bono graphic designer. A big, big thanks to Drew Key of Key Koncepts for stepping up and helping out. Also a big, big thanks to Brandon Shoupe of Strategy 6 Web Design for getting us launched and the site set up.
With approval of the site above – we will “go live” with it and set up how to enter the event data. Several of the group have already compiled lists of needed contributors. Now this will be the next step. Group members will provide:
1) People to be the points of contacts that reach out to the identified calendar contributors.
2) People who would like to help be administrators/watch dogs on the calendar. These people help insure we have good information on the site and no spam.
3) People who want to lead the charge on guerilla marketing of this site. Since we do not have a budget, we need some creative minds that will meet with groups in an effort to get the word out there.
